Coverage rates for EPDM adhesives do vary according to substrate, the type of membrane used and the method of application. On average, a good quality roofing adhesive should typically deliver the following coverage, when following the manufacturer guidelines for application:
- Water-based roofing adhesive – 3 – 4m2 per litre
- Bonding/contact adhesive – 3.5 – 4m2 per litre

With the water-based adhesives, you will generally be getting three to four square metres per litre of adhesive.
The same with the contact bonding adhesive. With that, you’ll generally get three and a half to four square metres per litre of adhesive – applied to most surfaces.
