A time of joy, family, laughter and eating lots of delicious food, for some reason, Christmas also becomes a time where some Dads (and mums!) out there decide that a bit of festive DIY can mooch its way onto the to do list.
However, as well spirited as this may be, it doesn’t always turn out to be a good move…
Here are some of our favourite, funniest Top Christmas DIY fails…some of them are enough to make your Nan drown her sorrows with Babycham.
Oh, the weather outside is…perfect for keeping your beer cold…
Great improvisation, although for safety reasons we are guessing that actually moving the snow out of the way of an exit would have been a better idea…
It’s probably best just to stick to the traditional tree…
The effort levels here just aren’t up to par…we say go for the normal Christmas tree in future, because that mass of balls is far from festive.
Now, if we finished our roofing jobs like this, we probably wouldn’t last much longer…
There’s nothing quite like a festive gingerbread village…that’s been hit by a drunk hurricane with no mercy.
Health and Safety would have a field day with this one…
As highly skilled roofing experts, we can categorically say that this is doing absolutely no good to his gutters!
The lights that were sneezed onto the house…
There’s just something about this house that makes us think the owner couldn’t really be bothered to hang the lights in any particular fashion; these are the literal equivalent of sneezing fairy lights and seeing where they would land.
It’s erm…creative?
Hey Santa! Step away from the Snowballs, you’ve drank too many!!
We don’t think that the kids would particularly like to see this one, but top marks for creativity!
When you just can’t be bothered getting on to the roof, or into every other nook and cranny of your house…
Very simple and very effective and the home owner means well. To be fair, the ditto is probably the display that will get more laughs than the Christmas grotto next door!
I don’t think that’s how it’s supposed to look…
Did whoever put this up have a few Christmas gins and then everything went a bit erm…sideways? Zero points for effort and for effect.
