PermaRoof Commercial, our dedicated commercial roofing division, were contacted by G J Smith Roofing to assess and support them in a large residential failed roof project in South Beaconsfield.
Following a complete assessment, it was discovered that the failure was due to a build up of condensation and subsequent rot. This occurred because the appropriate materials hadn’t been included in the original installation.
Working with G J Smith roofing, the PermaRoof Commercial team recommended the removal of the existing waterproofing and substrate to be replaced with an AVCL layer, HD coverboard, insulation and 250m2 of RubberGard EPDM. This was to meet the client’s requirement for longevity and reliability.
In addition, the team provided on-site, technical support to ensure the products were installed to the manufacturer recommendations to achieve a 20-year warranty – a factor of high importance to the client.
