Easy and fast to install, ISOGARD HD boards can be applied over both existing and new roofing, providing a smooth, level surface for the application of EPDM or liquid membrane.

Installing ISOGARD streamlines and accelerates the application process and significantly reduces labour and preparation time. It is ideal for refurbishment projects and can be used to cover old substrates to avoid lengthy repairs and improve structural integrity.

The high density, closed cell polyisocyanurate foam (PIR) is laminated on both sides with a mineral coated fibreglass facer. This offers exceptionally high compressive strength, which helps to spread the load over all types of insulation.

ISOGARD protects underlying boards, combining impact resistance and durability in a lightweight, easy to install single product. This makes it the perfect choice for extensive green roofing systems and terraces.

With insulating properties and UV ratings ISOGARD provides a comprehensive, eco-friendly solution that helps you make the most of your roofing system over the long term. ISOGARD has the highest thermal performance of any 12mm rigid cover board and is highly resistant to extreme weather.

Elevate ISOGARD contains over 9% recycled content with a fibreglass facer and uses a HCFC-free blowing agent in the foam technology. This results in a low GWP (Global Warming Potential) and zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential), making it an environmentally-friendlier approach to construction.

The boards are manufactured to include mould resistant materials that can limit the growth of damage causing fungi and bacteria. The fibreglass facings are mould and moisture resistant, reinforcing the long-term value of installation.

Installing ISOGARD

ISOGARD HD cover board is suitable for installation over a range of substrates in both new and existing systems:

The number of fasteners to use for each board should be calculated according to wind uplift in accordance with local building codes. However, the manufacturer recommends a minimum requirement of 12 fasteners per board in a fully adhered single ply roofing system and a minimum of 8 fasteners in a mechanically fixed application.

Boards must be fitted to all roof penetrations neatly to enable effective coverage during the waterproofing stage when membrane or liquid roofing is applied.
